AMU students reached the Final at the International Summit

Students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the pharmaceutical faculty of Azerbaijan Medical University participated in the contest “Choosing the best. Time to go ahead " at the III International GxP Summit in Yaroslavl.

 

On July 3-5, Rufana Usubova, Firuza Mammadova, Humai Mammadova, Nigar Pashayeva and Gamar Mammadbayli took part in the summit.

 

Azerbaijan is participating for the second time in the summit, which is being held for the third time. The event was organized by the Russian company Minpromtorg, the leadership of the Yaroslavl Region, the Putevodnaja Zvezda Charitable Foundation with the support of the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices.

 

According to the head of the delegation of AMU, associate professor of pharmacology department, head of the SSS of the faculty Nargiz Mammadova, the main purpose of the meeting, which brought together more than 300 students, master’s and doctoral students, was to identify the potentials of talented young people, who chose the pharmaceutical industry as their specialty, to create the basis for strengthening cooperation between different countries in this area. The summit was attended by representatives of Russian federal and regional bodies, leading universities, leading Russian pharmaceutical companies, highly qualified specialists in this industry.

 

“Our students presented their scientific works in various fields of pharmacy in PPT format in advance. Among the works presented at the summit of students, undergraduates and doctoral students from 17 countries, there were also scientific works of AMU students. The organizers emphasized the high level of preparation of these scientific works. ”

 

N. Mammadova noted that the summit was organized in a very interesting form. The competition consisted of two stages. The first stage consisted of solving situational problems and the second - a business game called “Winter is close”. Representatives of AMU perfectly coped with these tests. The team took the 1st place in the business game. The finalists were awarded a diploma.

 

Within the framework of the summit, representatives of AMU also met with representatives of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF), and discussed plans for the future. At that time, agreements were reached on joint activities on participation in international conferences. At the same time, students of AMU were invited to take part in the production practice in the Nanolek Company and take part in the IV summit, which would be held in Kaluga. In particular, the pharmaceutical faculty of Azerbaijan Medical University received various proposals for cooperation with universities in Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

 

As part of the summit, an excursion to the Teva pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprise was organized.
