Arterial hypertension is an increase in blood pressure above 140 and 90 mmHg. If the increase in blood pressure is not associated with other pathological processes, it is called hypertension. If high blood pressure appears as a sign of other ailments, it is called secondary or symptomatic hypertension.


Risk factors associated with lifestyle:

  • excessive consumption of salt and fatty foods
  • consumption of fruits and vegetables in small quantities or total absence in the diet
  • abuse of alcohol
  • sedentary lifestyle
  • stress
  • smoking


There are also a number of metabolic risk factors that cause heart disease, stroke, kidney failure and other complications of hypertension. These include:

  • diabetes
  • high cholesterol
  • overweight and obesity



Arterial pressure often occurs asymptomatically and is accidentally detected during pressure measurement. Hypertension is characterized by headaches, dizziness, rapid fatigue, increased heart rate.

In addition, high blood pressure can affect the activity of other organs (eyes, kidneys, brain, heart, etc.).


Method of treatment:

Symptomatic treatment is carried out in accordance with the increase in blood pressure.
